| Can't view attachments When I double click the pictures or other attachments all that opens are the ads. I used to be able to open and view them before the upgrade. Do I need to choose an option somewhere or what's the deal?

Administrator | There has been no changes to the attachments system in quite some time. Does this happen on each and every attachment you try to view? What browser are you using? You can try this fix below: First, log out of YorkieTalk. Then try to clear your Internet cookies and then sign in again, as the problem appears to be related with your browser. Please make sure cookies are enabled on your Internet browser settings. https://helpdesk.jetnet.aa.com/knowb.../aa_bb9167.htm We suggest members do NOT use the AOL Browser to access YorkieTalk. Internet Explorer works much better with our site. Or you may try another Internet browser, such as Firefox (Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable) or Opera (Opera browser: Home page), both which are free. |

| My internet provider is comcast. Sometimes I go in through there or MSN. I'm really not that savy about all of this stuff. I just click on the big E that's on my desk top. ???? It's not every one that I've noticed but most of them. Only been an issue since the upgrade.

| p.s. same with my home and work computer if that mattered. Also I notice that sometime I have buttons for options when I looks at threads like to subscribe and then next time they are gone. I'm usually like wow they've added another feature and then it disappears on me. I'm beginning to think I'm losing it.

Administrator | If you are using an older version of Internet Explorer, we have read that may cause problems with our forum software. The only suggestion we would have for you if the above fix doesn't work would be to try using the Firefox browser to access YorkieTalk. It is completely free and available at Firefox web browser | Faster, more secure, & customizable The option for thread subscription will appear right above the first post, in the THREAD TOOLS dropdown box. From there you can Show Printable Version, Email this Page, or Subscribe to This Thread. It should appear on all threads for you. Last edited by admin; 04-25-2008 at 09:08 AM. |

| Any other ideas re attachments? The ones above did not work. It now appears to be any attachment that double click on to open bigger to see the pretty pictures.

| V - I'm still having problems. I can only randomly get a picture to open either at home or work, so I don't think it's my computer. I downloaded firefox but it honked up my computer, so I don't have a clue. Sucks too because I want to see the cutie puppies and stuff.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I was having the same problem and slow response time after 6 calls to Mcafee my security provider and over 8 hours total time on the phone with them and paying 64.00. They removed a trojan and other viruses and it still wasn't working riight so I called back and the guy said my IE was corrupt and he installed Mozilla Firefox and it is great. Fast response time, no pop ups and I can open all attachments quickly.

Administrator | Yes, Firefox does work a lot better as a browser. Attachments open up in a new window, so please make sure your popup blocker is not blocking new windows from being opened. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/att...reggie-015.jpg Try clicking on the link above. It should show the actual picture. For those that have problems with attachments, it may very well be due to a virus or trojan. For some browsers, you may have to Shift-Click to view the attachments. Hold shift down and then left click on your mouse or mousepad. We have not made any changes to attachments in months. |
