Backgrounds for User Profile - YorkieTalk.com Forums

Hi everyone!
I am not very good with avatars and backgrounds and some of the new things we can do with our profiles. I notice if I open most people's profiles that have customized them, that they have pretty backgrounds set up. Where do you get the background graphics to add to your profile?

OK I went to the link for myspace backgrounds and found the one I want but when I tried to copy the sode it wont show up on my YT background. What am I doing wrong??? GGGRrrrrrr

The myspace backgrounds didn't work for me. I googled "animated yorkies" and when I found what I wanted, I right clicked and saved as and saved the image to my pictures. Then I created an album in my profile and uploaded the graphics to it. When I opened the pic from the album in my profile, just below the pic was the code for it and I just copy and pasted it into the spot that says background. Then I saved the changes.

youre so kind to offer help and I need some.....Im looking for a paisley background thats pinks, greens, yellows, all the sweet girl colors. Ya got anything in your box of tricks like that?? I found the perfect one on the myspace thingy but I couldnt get it to work but then again I didnt know how to copy it to my album either

You can customize your profile background here:

Background images must come from your albums. Enter the URL to a picture in one of your public or profile albums (in the Background Image) box of your profile customization page.

To use a background you like, you would need to Save the background image to your own computer first. Remember the filename of the image and where you saved it to.

To add pictures to the Album, click on Add Album from your Profile. Title your album whatever you would like. Click on Click here to Upload pictures and then upload the background (or other pictures) like you would an attachment. Then you may add the image as your background by finding out the link to the image, an example would be:

I found you need to SAVE AS A GIF to your computer - then re-upload it to your 'album' on your profile page. If your picture is animated make SURE you save it as a gif file. I had to re-animate the one I have of my girls in photoshop -

so I'm here too if anyone needs that done -

Cropping a picture helps alot - even one that's normal email size needs to go smaller if you want to show your yorkie - but for the wallpaper - that probably doesn't need cropping cause you want the same thing all over
