Sorry But I really hate to see This happen Here . If you are not into Praying or not a religious person. then you should just not post in those threads. this really saddens me |

| I would think prayer requests would be okay. You can pray or send good thoughts to whatever higher power you believe in or don't believe in as the case may be. I may be wrong, but I think the problem has to do with people putting down or posting negatively about each other's political party affiliations (who they plan to vote for) and moral value beliefs (such as controversial topics such as sexuality, right to life, etc...) Maybe I have it all wrong, but that's my take on it.

| I'm not particularly religious (I am a little political) but I'm surprised to see this. I wonder why -- what happened?

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | I think I know why. It just makes me so mad. I wish we could just have civilized discussions so rules like this don't have to be set in place. I'll never forget...I guess the year I joined, a member (who is no longer active) posted a beautiful email story about Jesus and the thread ended up getting closed because of awful arguing. We should be able to debate with class or (more preferably) just ignore posts we don't agree with. But since we don't seem to be able to, I guess I'll have to support Admins decision. Though I wish there was another way to go about it. I also would like clarification. Can we post threads on Easter, Christmas, Rosh Hashana (I'm sorry...I butchered the spelling), etc? Can we post prayer request threads?

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | Yes I saw that. That was such a beautiful post. This site is where I find/read all of those pretty things, because I don't get chain letters like that, I get all the "fwrd thss 2 10 ppl n ur crushs name wil apr. it rly wrks!" I so prefer the poems/stories that are uplifting and make you think/feel.

| This refers to "discussions". I don't think that it applies to prayer requests, poems, stories, etc. And it doesn't say "as of today", so I'd think a lot of threads would have been deleted before today if it meant any type of religious "references". I just don't think they want heated arguments about politics and religion. There are already enough heated arguments on other topics.

| did something happen to cause this? Boy. if we can't be praying for each other and asking for prayers and sharing our love for the Lord, I seriously may be spending a whole lot less time here. It is one of the things I have bragged about YT to my friends & family -- it has been a joy to not only find other yorkie owners here, but also other Christians. I try to be respectful of those who don't believe, but God has also called me to be a spreader of his word. I thought we had a good time talking about caucus and primary happenings. While I never shared any names here or which party I lean towards, I know others have. But I'm not going to debate someone here about a candidate. Now if you were standing face-to-face with me that might be another story

| That sticky is a rule that has always been here..so I don't think the rule changed at all. It has always said that threads/posts could be deleted concerning political and religious topics. It doesn't say they WILL be deleted, just that they COULD BE...so it probably just depends on the nature of the thread/post and whether or not its causing problems. I did make a comment about Obama scaring me in one thread but I don't see the problem in saying you do or dislike a candidate. I wasn't going to get into a debate about it.
