| Canned food and stools My vet gave me some canned food for Bikini and her stools are mushy sometimes and solid other times. I alternate between canned and dry food... Does stools goes with the texture of the food? Thanks

| I don't feed canned but I just saw another thread about this yesterday and people said that the canned did tend to make the stools a lot softer. Perhaps mix the kibble and canned together?

| Bitsy (she's 16 weeks old now) gets 1.5 oz of wet twice a day and I leave dry down all day for her to graze and her poop is very firm. |

| ... I tried to mix canned food with dry food for Maya. But I have stoped doing it cause when she poops she gets it all over her fur and thats just gross. No matter how little I give her ... this happens.

| Will your dog just eat hard food? I know when mine were little(even with these little ones)sometimes I will mix in about a teaspoon of soft just to get them to eat, then they go to all hard food..Yorkies teeth are not always very good, especially when they get older..I have always given mine the hard after about 15 weeks, and then a greenie, when my yorkie that is almost 5 just went in to the vets to have a tumor removed about 4 weeks ago, they said they were really surprised at how good her teeth looked for being a yorkie..how old is your baby? |
