| Jackieo will not eat dog food Jackieo does not like commercial dog food. (3 year old 5 1/2 lb female) I have tried so many different dry dog foods and moist dog foods, I gave up counting (from the most expensive, to cheaper) We put her in her cage with dog food while we are eating, so she is not begging at the table while we eat. She will eat Cesars SOMETIMES, but not very often. I have tried every flavor available. I nuke chicken thighs or drumsticks and cut them in pea size bits and she will eat them for a couple of days, then she will not eat. I found that I can melt monteray jack or colby cheese on the the chicken and she will eat more often. I have gone for 4 days without adding cheese and she will not eat. I give in and put cooled melted cheese on the food. She will not eat dried dog food even with cheese. She will not eat pork chops or ham, but will eat cooked hamburger sometimes. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks Jackieo |

| That is kind of strange that she doesn't like people food too much either. Have you tried meals made completely with people food like hamburger, rice and veggies? It is a bit concerning that she never wants to eat as that is a symptom of liver disease which is so common in Yorkies.

| I homecook for Teddy and sometimes he will go on strike and not eat unless I put some cheese on his food. He loves cheese and devouran entire bowl of food he has refussed just by puting alittle cheese on top. I don't think if you are feeding some real food and some dry food that she will want to go back to the dry.

| Royal Canin I did a Google search and found Royal Canin at Petsmart and Petco. I will be going today to buy some. BTW, if you do not have a Petsmart and Petco near you, try Google search for Royal Canin. Jackieo |

| petsmart always has it, thats where i buy mine... i hope it works as well for you as it does for me...they have a website where the ingredients are listed i believe... i think it has corn as one of its fillers, but it is def. better than the popular kibbles, like i said Belle was on science diet and i came to find out later, that it's not that good for them... but many people recommend royal canin, and yorkies seem to respond well to it...

| i hope it works for you...it is a little more expensive than the other brands, but i think it's worth it, when i was transitioning Belle into Royal canin, she left all the science diet in the bowl and only ate the royal canin kibble... and to this day she gets super excited when it's time to be fed, she still eats it, and seems to enjoy it as she did when i first started getting it

| Bully Spring Yesterday, I bought some Royal Canin Yorkie 28 and a RED BARN BULLY SPRING. I haven't tried the Royal Canin yet, but last night I gave Jackieo the Bully Spring and she just went crazy. She attacked the spring like I have never seen her do. I let her chew on it for about an hour until it was bedtime. I took it away from her and she CRIED for about a half hour before I could calm her down. She never does a tug of war with me on anything, but on the Bully Spring, she really tried to pull it back from me when I tried to take it away from her. This is the first treat I have ever seen her really care about. I just hope she is half as happy with Royal Canin. Thanks to all for the input. Jackieo ... happy LSD (little spoiled dog) |

| places to buy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bully_stick Check the above link... Bully Spring is a small part of the bully stick (I THINK?), coiled up like a spring and about 8 inches long coil.... Available at Petsmart, and Petco. BTW, Jackio is NOT crazy about the Royal Canin, she eats some only if covered with melted cheese. Back to the search .... picky...picky....... Jackio |
