| Big dark bump under chin on Venus? Please pray! Sorry, my camera is in the shop, due to accident on vacation last week. If I had it here, I'd put a pic of this thing. This bump is on the throat area on one side. Its about 3/4" long and 1/4" wide and dark. You can feel a small bump, but when I looked at it good, and measured it, was a LOT bigger than it felt! My sister felt it a few minutes ago on Venus. I just got back off vacation of 6 days, and was boarding her and Adonis with a friend. I hadn't "noticed" the bump prior to this, but with the size of it, seems like I would have, as I groom her every night religiously. Anyone have a clue what it could be? Vet is closed right now, so I can't take her in, unless I go to emergency center. |

| Maddie has a couple bumps on her that are sebaceous cysts, but they are not near the size of what you describe. What Maddie has is harmless...guess something like a clogged gland or something, and I hope that Venus turns out to be nothing serious also! Best wishes!

| My vet is closed tomorrow, but I did get a 9:45 Friday appt. I also called a friend that works for their spay/neuter place. Although she hasn't been in their regular vet office in years, she said it sounded like something Venus has been scratching, or a bite or something. I just can't believe that in grooming her daily, I haven't seen it. Its on one side of the throat, covered with hair, and you can barely feel the "bump" on it. She said it "sounded" like a scab to her. I dunno.....but I will be a the vet, Friday morning. Please keep her in your prayers. Venus seems to feel just as wild and normal as usual, no change in anything else with her. Eating fine, drinking, playing....no change in anything. Lets see if I can make it till Friday morning without me freaking out more! |

| Venus is acting just fine......I'm a basket case. I did ok till a few minutes ago. The fear hit me hard. I had to take some "heavy duty meds" and call it a "house arrest day". Not driving anywhere today....with what I just took. Thank God, I'm on SSDI and don't work. It may be "nothing" at all. Tell my "fear of the unknown that". The fear of the unknown gets me every time. I have 3 Visa cards in my wallet now. I want to be prepared for ANYTHING tomorrow when I get her to the Vet. 2 of them have a $0 balance on them....so whatever happens I should be covered!! Thank God, Visa loves me. I will take care of my babies, no matter the cost. For me mentally, the day is shot, except for quality time with my babies. I am 50, and never had kids. Not married. Venus and Adonis ARE my kids and companions. I also have a disorder that racks nerves pretty bad when stressed. I take some heavy duty stuff for them too. I usually don't have to take it often, but will if necessary. Today, looks like its very necessary. When I have to take it in the daytime I call it a "house arrest day", cause day is shot, I stay inside, and don't dare drive anywhere after taking it. All I want is quality time with both of my babies. I'm so scared. Probably also as my Mom used to say I'm "making a mountain out of a mole hill". That thing on her neck scares me. Today, and right now, don't know what me and Venus are up against. And its going to be a long rest of the day, and long night wondering. Please keep Venus and I in your prayers. I know Yorkie Talk prayers are the best! |

| Was your dog outside where she was boarded? Is it a wooded area? Is it possible that it is a tick under her skin? Here is a link to tick pics. http://www.oes.org/html/how_2_identi...ent_ticks.html |

| Hi there, you really sound worried about your baby, - I don't blame you I would be too, BUT maybe you should just try to be a little possitive as it sounds as though you are going to "crack". Please don't get me wrong, I am just worried about YOU. I know where you're coming from, I tend to get myself stressed out way too much over things - I have suffered from panic attacks for a number of years, and I'm on "happy pills" too. As someone on here says (can't remember who) breath in , breath out - take it slow. If there is something wrong with your baby she will need you to be strong. Then again it may not be serious. I will be saying special prayers for you and your baby. I will check back later, please let us know how you are doing. Sending lots of hugs, if I didn't live half way across the world I'd say phone me.

| Thank God, and Yorkie Talk members prayers.....As my worst thought was far from what it was! Dr Bentley cleaned it up good....whole time saying it looked like a wound, not what I was thinking. Then when cleaned throughly, said its a cat bite. I was so scared to clean it, as I didn't know what it was. But my neices friend that worked at a spay/neuter place said put triple antibiodic ointment on it. There was a cat at the girls house I left her at, for my vacation. This was the 2ond time I'd ever left them, first being this past August. Dunno which it was, this past August, or last week when I left Venus and Adonis with the lady..she got the bite. But seems as much as I groom her (nightly), I'd found it before now. But he said the triple antibiodic Paula said put on it is the best thing for it. Ok, my "mini breakdown" is over. I'll be ok... I have a disorder that seems to "see the worst" in "the fear of the unknown". I hate it, but dealing with what I been dealt the best I can. I'm just Thanking God....thats all it was, as the "fear of the unknown" just scared me to death! Thank you all SO Much for your prayers for both of us! |

| I'm so glad to see an update...and a good one at that! I am like you...I fear the worst when it comes to things like that! Bet you feel like you've had the weight of the world off your shoulders! I'm so glad she's okay! Mean ole cat!
