| I think Lacy has a Urinary Tract Infection Lacy has been having some accidents in the house recently and drinking a lot more water. At first I thought she was just mad at me for going back to school, but then she peed on my bed Tuesday night and she NEVER EVER has peed on my bed! And today she peed in my roommate's room 4 times in 3 hours so I knew something had to be wrong. I took her to the vet this afternoon and the vet thinks it is a UTI. They could only get a tiny amount of urine because her bladder was empty but the did a urinalysis with what they had. She said there were some inflamitory cells but not many and that her urine was pretty dilute. We couldn't do a culture today though because the labs are closed over the weekend so I have to take her back Monday to get another urine sample to be cultured so we can find out what type of bacteria is causing the infection so she'll get the right antibiotics. They went ahead and did a bloodworkup to make sure nothing more serious was going on and her electrolytes, CBC, and chemistry all came back normal. So her urine was dilute because of excess drinking. The other thing she was a little concerned about was that there were only a few inflamitory cells instead of a lot but that could also be because her urine was dilute too. So for now she's on anti-inflamitories until I take her back Monday to send a urine sample to the lab. Poor baby..hopefully we'll get it taken care of next week and that the accidents will stop

| Lacy went back to the vet today. They got a good urine sample and there were still a few inflammitory cells in it so they sent a sample to the lab for a culture. I should get the results back later this week. We went ahead and put her on antibiotics

| oh poor baby lacy . . . .does she make a sound like she is hurting when she pees? I thought Annika had a UTI when she was younger because my daughter said she gives out this sound like she was hurting, but when we rushed her to the vet there was nothing . . . so I ended up paying $150 for a clean bill of health I hope Lacy gets well soon . . .
