| Baby aspirin dose? For some reason the search engine on YT is not working right now. I need to know what the proper dosage for baby aspirin is. Tatum is 5 pounds. She got shots today and is very sore. If I remember right, it's a half a baby aspirin at a time but can't remember how often I can give her that. Anyone remember?

| We used to give my 5 lb chihuahua 1/4 of a baby aspirin for arthritis pain.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i really don't like giving asprin to dogs. it thins their blood and god forbid if something happens to them and they need to go to the hospital it wouldn't be good to have asprin in their system because it affects other medications. not to mention the risks it can cause if a surgery is needed.

| I'd give your vet a call in the morning and let them know she's sore. Ask if they think the aspirin is ok, and how much to give her.

| For the record, this post is a few weeks old. Tatum's vet said it was fine to give her one dose (1/2 baby aspirin) on the day of her shots because she was so sore. She only got that one dose and felt much better.
