| mvd as you know max has mvd and has been in the hospital for 3 days know hes not on the fluieds any more and he can come home today when they find out a little more so i want to know how bad is this so there are all these symptoms right well his are dizzy i think thatwas due to his sugar being 2 and it was supossed to be 7 he stairs in to spaces and shakes he does nott have seasures so with lactulose ,milk tisle,and vitimine E will he be okay the vet said thats all we can do to make life easier for his liver some cases she said the dog my need to be put to sleep cause there too far gone but max is not IS HE? please any info you have or advice or just any thing please let my know Can he still live a long happy pain free life |

| Is MVD Max's only diagnosis? What are his bile acid results? Are his liver values (like ALT) elevated? It really all depends on how bad it is and how well he responds to supplementing. Give him a hug for me please.

| they are shure that max does not have a shunt my vet is waiting to hear from the specilest he seen at first when my old vet told me that it could be a shunt they need to make shure that it is mvd if there not 100% shure thell need to sdo a biopsy from all the bile acides he has gotten done they were very high i donre remember the numbers each time they were done they were lower i dont know this time i was not told yet i will know when i get to fianlly pick him up do you know any thing about how bad these symptoms i told u are is he in pain what about his life can he still be happy and will this cause a shorter life |

| All I know is that those are common symptoms of liver problems. I have no idea how bad it is. An ALT being up can mean liver damage but other values would be up too so it was just a general question.
