Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | Eddie has never seemed like he's sick or in pain, but he will act like it annoys the heck out of him. He will usually scoot his butt on the ground to try to take care of the problem himself. As gross as it sounds, it's not a huge deal to express the anal glands. And the results are instant if that's the problem. You can google the topic to find pictures on how to do it. I hope your pup is feeling better.

| OH YES!!!! A impacted anal gland(s) can cause serious pain. These glands, if left too long untreated can ever RUPTURE, causing a literal hole next to the anal opening itself for drainage. The smell is ungodly. I'd take your pup to the vet as soon as you get a chance and have his bum checked out just to play it safe. (have you looked back there at him? Does he have a "funky" odor akin to poo that you can't quite explain? Any bleeding? Any cuts or tears?) |

| First and foremost I would take your baby to the Vet. My Joey had an anal gland burst and it's not pretty. Here is a site with a little information/video on expressing the glands.... http://www.expertvillage.com/videos/...ics-glands.htm
