| Pyoderma...has anyone else experienced this with their baby? So during Bella's weekly bath i noticed some bumps/scabs on her body...at first i blew it off as she just scratched an itch too much or something, but then she kept getting more and worse, she was scratching everywhere and licking her feet....weird right? well for her it was so i made her a vet appt. and he said she had pyoderma. which could be an allergy or a bacteria on the skin. anyway he gave her an antibiotic and a medicated shampoo! i hope it clears up but i feel sorry for my lil princess! what methods have you guys out there used or found to be helpful?

| Benadryl usually helps with itching.

| always try if you can to give antibiotics on a full tummy... if that means taking her off them long enough to get food in that can stay down... do that.. i know for people it is very hard to take medication on an empty stomach. Good luck |

| Hi - We went through a similar experience with Penny a couple of years ago. She would get these pustules on her tummy that would eventually scab. The vet said it was either an allergy or bacteria infection, too. She received antibiotic and a medicated shampoo "Malaseb", same as your baby. The medicated shampoo worked wonders! Our vet even said that if I didn't want to bathe her each time that I could apply it directly to the spots with a q-tip. Anyway, it worked for us!! Also, a former co-worker of my hubby has a dog with severe allergies. She uses the clear, topical Benadryl that you can get over the counter. When Penny's allergies really act up, I give her liquid Benadryl. Good luck! |

| If she is continuing to throw up, please call your Vet and tell them this. Roxy has seasonal allergies and has these pimples all over her body. She is on benedryl to help with the itching. Anyway, we tried one type of anti-b and by day 8 of 10 - she had developed diarrhea and mucus poop. This lasted for 2 weeks after the run of the anti-bs. I had called the Vet for something else and mentioned this and they told me that I should have called and stopped that anti-b right away. So, please call if the vomit continues. |
