| Alphy's Day at the Vet What a day. Poor baby has an ear infection. We went to the vet today. Signed in, sat there for an hour. They only had one vet today. While we were sitting there a couple came in to put their dog down. Didn't call ahead or anything, the staff was not prepared for that, especially being short handed. They had a healer who was 5. Apparently he had some sort of head trauma and the vet had no idea (diagnosied couple weeks ago). It just kept sitting their drooling. I thought I was going to cry. Anyway, back to Alphy. We finally gotten taken back to the room. They check his ears, yep infection, he'll send someone in with an estimate. She comes in we do our things and says she'll be back. 10 minutes later she's back with a swab, takes a sample says she'll be back to show me how to clean his ears, etc. Nothing, zzzzzzzz, played some tetris on my phone, we snoozed, I finally thought about calling them from my cell and saying, hey this is whitney & alphy from exam room 5, is anyone coming back? but of course, phone dead from playing games. I step out and say can you tell me how much longer it will be? By this time I've heard the wailing woman who put her dog down cry because I think they were in the next room. Oh yea and one of the worker gals had her devil child there. All I heard was stop that, no yelling, you sit here, the kids screamed and ran through the place the whole time, then slammed doors when she would put him in the office for "10" minutes. It was horrid. So I ask if anyone is coming back and the girl says she'll check, she comes in and say we've been really busy, we had to the sample on a slide, do this do that, let it dry.. blah blah blah. i was like how long does it take? Guess what she said.... 8 minutes. I finally popped off and said I've been sitting in this room for 2 hours, 3 total if you include the wait out front. The doc came in and apologized he thought we were done, he was like it's the right ear right. NO, it's the left. He said well they came in and cleaned it? I said, NO no one ever came back!!!! the girl came in apologized, cleaned his ears gave me all his meds and sent me home. 3 hours sleep in the vets office $128.20 better puppy... priceless

| Three hours is more than crazy. We go to a busy vet and Ellie had a yeast infeciton in her ears. It took maybe half an hour tops in the room. I would not have been happy but atleast the pup is better.

| Awww, I know how stressed you are, Whitney, but poor Alphy must have been totally miserable. What a horrible way to run a vet clinic. Roxy said she really hopes Alphy is feeling better and she 's sending him a great big warm. licky kiss and a big hug comes from all of us.

| I would have been really upset, but I wouldn't have had the patience to wait that long. I would have left, and told them I was going to another vet where the wait wasn't as long.

| thanks Roxy. Alphy sends kissies back. He has a combination of both a bacterial and yeast infection. The vet tech said it's a party in there.
