| Monkey has Fanconi Syndrome :( I posted awhile back about Monkey being sick with high BUN levels and glucose in his urine. We put him on prescription food, did an ultra sound, and the vet continued to explore his problem. We found out today he has Fanconi Syndrome, which is a renal tube defect. It is a pretty rare kidney disease, that happens mostly in Basenjis. Has anyone ever heard of this? He is going to the specialist at 9 am tomorrow. Maybe I should post on a basenji board. |

| My 5-year-old Yorkie was recently diagnosed with Fanconi Syndrome from the China treats. No cure, but it's treatable. |

| I've heard that dogs who consumed chicken treats from china had a Fanconi-like disease. Otherwise I know nothing about it. Best wishes.
