| Dont know what to do, vet can't find anything wrong The problem i'm having is that Max is having a BAD problem with peeing. And not the typical problem of not going on a pad or not scratching to go out. But Max will stand at his bowl and drink probably half the water, and about 5-10 mins later pee it all out COMPLETELY clear. My poor mother has slipped on it a dozen times and now they're wanting to put him up for adoption because of the danger (our whole house is hardwood and tile). He wears a diaper now whenever in the house, but we're changing his diaper after everytime he drinks, and we refuse to deny him water since he is SO active. We've taken him to the vet numerous times, left him over night to be observed and nothing has come of it. He's not diabetic and does not have kidney issues that the vet can find. He is an EXTREMELY friendly puppy and incredibly active, so active to the point where my Molly is seeming tame and she was a nutcase when it came to playing. I need to figure out something about Max so that he can stay with us, he's such a good boy otherwise and a great friend and pet. PLEASE HELP! |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Have you tried just giving him a little water every few hours so that he has enough but doesnt drink 1/2 the bowl at a time? You may want to get a second opinion from another vet. I hope you can get some answers.

| Sorry for your frustration. But good work on the diaper until you figure it out. How old is Max?

| He's 8 months, and we've tried rationing his water, but he just pees anything he takes in. It could be an ounce or a gallon! And it's completely clear. When he was really young (1-2 months) we figured it was just him being an un-trained puppy. All the vet has told us so far is it's not his kidney's and he's not diabetic but he is definitely NOT concentrating his pee |

| Could it be a UTI?

| i'm pretty sure they've ruled that out as a possible problem as well. Like i said he's a very happy puppy and doesn't seem to be in any pain as he will usually be playing out on the deck with me, stop real quick to pee and actually keep peeing while he's coming back to play so it's not slowing him down at all. |

| It sure would not hurt to get a second opionion and I think that is what I would do. Drinking so much water and wee weeing that much sure sounds like diabetes to me. Hope not and they find out whats wrong. |

| I just had a baby pit go through the same thing. The vet told us to only give him water three times a day. He said there was not enough salt in his urine, because he was drinking so much water. It's been getting better, but not close to perfect. The good thing is he barks when he has to go out, or just opens the door (he's a big fellow), and lets himself out.
