| Brandi was at the vet today... Brandi wasn't acting just right this morning........so I left my son a note to call me at work as soon as he got up.......with instructions how to feed her........he called me and said she was acting fine......so I said he should feed her...... About 2 hours later when he got home from the gym he called and said she had diarreah and when he went to clean it up (off my carpet of course) there was a lot of blood........(she hadn't eaten anything at all) I came home and took her to the vet......he examined her......she wasn't dehydrated........she had no temperature.....he said he was going to give her a shot and some antibiotics.......(by the way this isn't my regular vet it was his associate and I was really apprehensive but I figured he must know better than me).....he told me not to feed her anything for 24 hours.......and tomorrow start her on chicken soup with rice or noodles.......but make sure she has clean fresh water about a half a cup 4 times a day........ The Title of this posting should be "Dog is GREAT owner needs a doctor now"......I've had dogs my whole life........and I had two kids.......I have NEVER been this neurotic......the shot is making her act sooooooo weird.......she sleeps then she gets up and starts rubbing all over everything......I gave her some water from a dropper so she didn't have to get up....... I left the vet a stool sample which I will get the results of tomorrow.......(which can't come soon enough) Brandi doesn't really go outside much......and when she does I normally carry her.......so I can't imagine she caught anything.......the house is sooooooooo doggie proof I'm really not even thinking she got into anything she shouldn't have........I don't know what to think....... the only concern I have is we've had a "bug" problem here due to a leak in my landlady's apartment in TWO bathrooms......I've had bugs big enough to carry Brandi away (almost) I'm afraid my landlady sprayed and maybe the bugs are eating the poison and then Brandi may be eating the bugs......but there's really no way of me knowing.........I know she's going to outlive me because the stress is gonna kill me.......anyone have any thoughts Sorry this was so long but I'm really a wreck...... |

| I'm so sorry to hear Brandi is sick and I hope and pray you will have a good update today. Maddie has had that type of problem and was diagnosed with IBD. She seldom has a flare up now, but when she does, I give her antibiotics for a few days and she's better. These little ones sure can give us scares and I know exactly how worried you are. If Brandi spent a lot of time outside, I'd guess she ate something out there to cause this, but who knows. What did that vet think about her possibly eating bugs that have been poisoned? Yuck...what kind of bugs are they? I will pray for your little sweetheart and please keep us updated. Maddie and Libby send get well kisses to darling little Brandi! Sending hugs to you!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I came home last night from a Birth Mothers Support group only to walk in to: Maya had pooped all over the foyer rug and Pixie had carried some of it on to the floor and it was smashed in, Then my dtr tells me that Pixie was sick that she threw up in the living room and kitchen, it looked like so much that I thought maybe Maya had done it, but she swears it was Pixe and Pixie also would'nt eat, then I go in to my bedroom and on the peepad is diahrrea with a lot of mucous on it, so I assume it is Pixie since she was throwing up. I go to clean her but and find it is clean so I pick up Cali and she is the one with the diahrrea and I find more on the carpet by my bedside. I decided to not panic and rush into the ER vet as they have been both getting little bouts of these things. This morning, Pixie seems better but Cali had more diahrrea so I gave her some meds I had from last time. Sometimes they just have little upset tummies and a little fluids and meds will fix them right up. Pixie had a similar episode 2 -3 weeks ago and I rushed her to the er vet and the meds cleared her right up. I tend to panic too and I am trying to wait a little bit and see if they feel better the next day. If they were to be really sick and continuing to throw up I would get them right in to the vet. Hope Brandi is better today. I know how you feel!!!

| I'm so sorry your baby is sick. Hopefully it's just a bug and it will pass. I worry all of the time too. Please update us and let us know how she's doing! |

| well I finally talked to him and I just hate it when my regular vet isn't in.......cause I never believe anyone else......he said the shot he gave her yesterday was an antispasmodic.......and it shouldn't have effected her by making her sleepy or anything........she was acting WEIRD after the shot yesterday......you would have to be blind, deaf, dumb to have not noticed........and she's still acting strange today.......this rubbing against everything is making me insane.......cause I dont' know what's wrong.......he said to wait till tomorrow and give her benedryl.......and I should still start the flagyl today....... he still only wants me to feed her chicken soup with rice........well that's not going over too big and she hasn't eaten all day today........ Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am sorry to hear that she is not better today. I would get a second opinion if she is still acting like that tomorrow. All of mine have had the antispasmodic shot and pills and have not had any reaction.
