| *sigh* help please! ok so Layla had been chewing at her paws... when i looked between the toes they were red and had this tiny scabs on them... but after a few days of benadryl they have gone down and she doens't chew NEARLY as much on them.. i'd say they are 80% better. So tongiht i'm brushing her teeth (she is on her back when i do this) and i noticed on her neck.. is this VERY red line of irritated skin.. from her throat up to her chin, also with a few very small round scabs and a few pimple looking things. this isn't caused by scratching id on't think because it is a line up her throat, ANY thoughts??? we are calling the vet in the morning but i was hoping someone could shed some light on it now and release my anxiety. my poor girl.. shoud i give her benadryl for it?? i guess it woudln't hurt right? HELP! |

| Poor baby. Make sure you tell them she was at the beach recently. Maybe something still leftover from the sand or something. Just grabbing at straws here, but it's a possibility. Hope she feels better soon. I know its hard when you can't "fix it" for them. Let us know what the vet says tomorrow. Feel better sweet baby!!

| well i woke up this morning (at 4:40.... Layla was sick .. what a night) and the mark on her neck is 80% gone!! it is barely a light pink line... ???? so we think it might be something to do with the heat??? it is unbearable here... although Layla is hardly outside... anyways.... it's almost gone!!! we are leaving for Sault Ste Marie tomorow and we know a vet up there should it come back..... glad it's gone but boy was i stressed out about it!! |

| I'm glad Layla is doing better! Poor baby. I hope it was just a temporary thing. Update us on what the vet says. I feel you about the heat. My AC was broken so I had the maintenance guys take care of it right away. |
