| Neuro..?? Help???advantage..?? I feel bad, I hate that this is the only forum I get to post on anymore. And as luck would have it, I had some free time today and TYSON is acting different. I put ADVANTAGE on him, on his neck and a bit above, and he took off out of the bed like a greyhound, did some running around and rubbed all on the floor, like he does when he gets out of the bath, I then noticed that he was going into a few of his places he goes, when he knows he's been up to no good, his safe spots, I call them, which was odd, since there's no trouble. We had to leave for a 2 hours and when we came home we had the usual celebration, and it looked like he had been sleeping..I thought things were back to good, so I offered him a treat and he ran to get it, I gave him his most favorite treat and he looked at it, and ran and hid.......HE HAS NEVER EVER, ran from a treat, I then got out all the treats and he looked at them like they were poison..........this is very out of the norm, he turned 1 years old last week, and he is no out on the porch in the sun rubbing himself all over the carpet, he appears to have energy at the moement, but then something odd will happen, he has had ADVATAGE on before...anyone with any input, I am all ears..........I hate that he cant talk...and I dont like atching him not be his puppy self.......I am not sure what to do here..... | As the day goes on I just have to think it has to be the ADVANTAGE, TYSON has been in his "home" crate all day and he is potty trained and his crate is only left out and open for him to go in if he wants to, and he has been in it all day. Another thing we noticed is he has only gone potty once, has had nothing to eat or drink, I cant say he looks lethargic, more depressed, ears half way down...just not himself, The only thing I did different is I applied it by myself and put it all in just 2 spots, rather then having dad help hold him steady on the counter and applying it, in many different places. I have not found a whole lot of info about reactions to ADVANTAGE, I swear by it, but this time something is not right, Another thought is the smell, they have the best sense of smell and even though I applied it hours ago and have washed my hands a million times since then, I thought that maybe the smell as on my hand when I handed him his treat and thats hy he took off, but anyways, I chose to take the chance and have fleas, instead of a sick poisoned dog, so we put him in the tub and gave the site a good scrubbing and he came out if there his frisky self, one last thing, he went potty on his pee pee pad and I alked by it to go outside and smelled the weridest smell ever, I got closer and picked up the pad and I smelled the strongest odor of like a chemical, not like urine at all........I wonder if the strenghth they gave me is to much, no matter if it says its his weight class or not, as of now at least he is out of his crate and a little more like himself, he is all curled up next to me sleeping............GREAT NEWS, The vet called as I was typing this and as I was explaining this to him, TYSON, jumped up form his nap and has been playing no stop, The vet told me to wash the spot I put it on with DAWN dish soap since that strips any and everything, so I have done that and I have my puppy back..............How sad it is when they are just helpless, I just know that that one day he is going to be able to open his mouth and talk..........thanks to you who gave me some info and support....... | I am glad he is feeling better. You said that you used Advantage but are you sure it wasn't Advantix?
