| Ear problem... So Samuel's right ear was bothering him a few weeks ago, I brought him into the vet, they did ear samples brought it to the lab and no infection. They told me if he itches more than usual bring him back, otherwise it could be allergies. So today I woke up and his ear is flopped down. It goes up sometimes, when he yawns or is playing, but generally it is flopped down. He is 8 years old and always had ears that stood up. Should I take him to the vet again? I feel like im at the vet every week, im such a hypochondriac with my two boys. His ear is kind of dry on the inside too. Can a dog's ear just flop after 8 years?

| I've never heard of that happening to an 8 year old. Could he have injured it? Probably best to take him back to your vet or get a second opinion from another Dr. I hope Samuel gets better very soon.

| I took him back to the vet this morning and suprise suprise, its an ear infection. I feel so irresponsible! The vet said it could be from water getting in or allergies, or the combo of both. Hes on medecine and ear drops now and his ear is already perking up!
