| Hallee limping/hopping...right back leg???? Last week Hallee was limping, but DH found a piece of food in her paw so we thought that was why she was limping because we did not notice anything after that. However, she has not been jumping on up on the couch. We have been picking her up and putting her up there with us. We did not think much about it because everything else was normal. Last night Hallee was limping really bad, doing almost a hop. It it is her back right leg. She has not wined or anything like she is in pain. I felt so bad for her last night. We carried her into bed last night. This morning the limp/hop is not near as bad as it was last night. But she did not follow me around like she usually does every morning. Thank goodness I already had a vacation day today. I called the vet and they are going to see her this afternoon. Something is def. wrong with her so I am hoping the vet with do xrays or something. I am just worried to death about this. If only she could talk and tell me what is wrong or how she is feeling. Sorry for duplicate post. I also put this under general.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I had a Yorkie, Zorro who had what you are describing and it was a torn ALC ligament in his back left leg. I had surgery and he was fine. He would always stand with that foot a little off th floor after that but could walk and run normally. Hopefully he just pulled a muscle or ligament.

| Just got back from the vet. Hallee stretched her knee. She let the vet feel around on her leg for about 5 minutes. No welps or anything. Vet prescribed Rimadyl, anti-inflammatory to reduce pain and inflammation. Giving her this for 10 days, every 24 hours. If she still has a limp in 10 days, he wants to see her again. I told the vet we were looking into pet insurance as much as we are there. He said this was one of the weakest parts of these little guys. Hopefully, this heals and nothing more is needed.

| It had looked to me to be her right back leg last night and today. After hubby got home, it now def. looks like her left leg. I don't think the vet looked at both back legs. I told him it was her right. Now I am concerned the correct leg was not checked. I did not pay attention to the vet checking her legs because I was busy petting and comforting her. This has been stressing me all night. I am calling the vet first thing in the morning and if I have to will take her back in and pay for another office visit. I would rather pay for the office visit again and have peace of mind. But, if the vet checked the wrong leg how could he have told me that she def. favoring it and what is wrong with it. I know if it was broke she probably would not be walking on it at all. I am just overly concerned and have the right to be...she is my baby. I wonder what the vet's office will think when I call asking them if they could tell me what leg he checked or if both. Don't ya think this would be in her records.
