Worried This might be a silly question but I am a new mom and worry about everything. I took Barkley to the vet yesterday and she said he has a sore throat and gave him some amoxcillian. Yesterday he was fine and playing, today he has just wanted to sleep all day. On top of that he has had diarrhea. I just want to know if these things are normal since he has a sore throat. Thanks

how did she know she had a sore throat ?? just by looking at it?? that's odd... well i'd say it is normal for the meds to knock her out and give her diarrhea, they are hard on us so i'm sure they are hard on our babies. Make sure she gets A LOT of fluids and you might want to make her white rice and boiled chicken which will be easier on her little tummy.

Barkley...what a cute name. I hope he gets better quickly. I think antibiotics affect lots of us that way. I wonder what made the vet think he had a sore throat Patty
