| Is this a human baby or a puppy? If it's a human I'd call the poison control hotline (1-800-222-1222). They are wonderful and can answer your q's, or you can call the hospital emergency room. If it's a puppy, I'd try calling an emergency vet and see it they would answer your question over the phone. Let us know what they say.

| I kinda figured it was a puppy, but I figured it couldn't hurt to check. I hope your baby's doing okay.

| Muffin used to have some tummy trouble and I gave her a quarter of a Tums whenever her tummy was upset. It calmed it immediately. She would just eat it as though it was candy.

| Tums won't hurt at all. I give my show dogs Tums prior to ring time to cut down on the eye tears. It's also given to female dogs for calcium.....

| I think your furbaby will be fine. The vet recommended I give Baby Pepcid AC before.

| I actually gave my Maltese tums every day to change the ph of her tears so that she would not have the red staining common to maltese.........so I am sure you baby will be fine. I give it to both of mine if they have upset tummies as well with no issues. Vet said it as okay. But I've stopped the tums and am using something else to control the red staining and also giving it to Toby the Yorkie Boy to help with the "wet" issue around his eyes and has0 helped.

Sorry I gave you the wrong impression with the tums. I tried it for about eight months with Kallie and it seemed to help but never fully eliminated the red staining but I never tried using the tums on Toby for the wetness around his eyes.
