Default Grrrrrrrrrrr!!!

My mother had her bag on the floor near the kitchen table, and Missy was busted with snooping in her bag, grabbing two Extra gums... the small rectangular, wrapped up packs... it has like a case of a cigarette style. Anyways, my dad called me from upstairs and told me come check out what the little one has done/doing. I got so scared.... my blood boiled up, i thought there was something seriously wrong with her. Anyways.... me and my father faught the little damn rugrat (LET ME TELL YOU, SHE WAS FIGHTING ME!! SHE DIDNT WANT TO LET GO OF ONE) so we believe we got all of it... I even saw a little piece in her mouth all sticky... she was chewing it like a damn human Anyways... I am assuming & PRAYING that we did manage to get everything out... but IF by any chance she consumed just a little piece... is it very dangerous? should it be a ER visit asap? she's still wild & crazy... jumping up and licking us. But yeah, I am really disappointed with my mother--leaving her bag unzipped like that!!

I was just reading the thread about what other members' babies pooped out. Amazing! After reading all the things those other Yorkies ate without serious problems, I would really doubt that a tiny piece of gum would hurt your furbaby. I remember our kitten loved to get into purses years ago and look for gum. I think this is common, and I think your baby will be fine. I am no expert though.

i would imagine it is ok... the only thing i'd worry about is the apertaine (sp?) that they use to to sweeten the gum, so you might want to do a search on that or just call the ER vet and see what they think. i'm sure it will pass right through her.

Okay, thank you girls. MISSSSSSSSSSSSY LOVES TO GET INTO PURSES/BAGS...so we make sure they are out of sight or better yet ZIPPED up! Thank God my dad caught her on time, because he was wondering why she was so quiet in the kitchen.... I am so disappointed with Missy as well.... how she was growling at me, the noise was so scary lol and how she had her mouth shut extremely tight... my dad was trying to bribe her with other good foods that she ain't allowed to eat but that didn't work.... the other piece with the wrapper, my father had to take out because i had no luck, she loves my dad a lot, so she cooperated with him.

When they are quiet...thats when you know that they are up to no good!! My girl Roxie does the same thing! And I know the growl that you are talking about! I always wonder how such a sweet tiny little girl can growl so loudly!! Roxie only growls when she has something in her mouth that she shouldn't have. Right now Roxie and I are attending puppy training. This upcoming weekend we are learning how to "Drop It" I cant wait! Good luck with Missy, I hope that she is feeling well.
