| Tink is home from the hospital! I thought I would start a new thread with a more positive theme. I'll post to this occassionaly to keep everyone updated on Tink's progress. I brought her home last night. It was late when we got home - around 10:30 I think. She had a tough night but she did alright. She had one seizure around 1:30 and wouldn't settle down after that. I got her some water in a syringe and she took that. I thought about it and decided she is so weak, she can't go anywhere; so I piled pillows all around the bed next to me, put her blankie below the pillow next to mine and put her there. I put my hand on her and she calmed right down and went to sleep. She slept for two hours and then the alarm went off for her meds. I gave her those and held her for awhile in the rocking chair and she went to sleep again 'til the next alarm at 6:00. YAY! She takes the meds well and ate some broth and some yogurt this morning. I gave her some kibble at 10:00 and she ate 5 pieces. That's the most she's eaten! She had her meds this morning at 10:00 and she's resting now but not really sleeping. She's laying in her papasan chair with some pillows piled around it on the floor up to the height of the chair. She's comfy. She had another seizure this morning about 8:30 or so. I hate those things, they're so scarey and there is nothing you can do but keep them safe. She's not walking but she does stand up for a little bit and then falls over when she's too tired. It's sad but also kind of cute. I washed her frog, the pillowcase and her blankie last night. Mr. Frog needed a little toothbrush work on him. Ick! But he's OK now - good thing 'cause she was looking around the bed for him this morning. Well, this was a long post but I had alot to say. Thanks everyone for helping me get through this time. I think Tink is going to be OK. It will just take some time and patience. God was good to me AGAIN and let me keep her. Thank you Lord. </IMG> |

| Awwww......I'm so glad that she's home with her mommie again. I'm sure it makes her AND you feel so much better! Hopefully as she gets her strength back, the seizures will stop. It must be really a helpless feeling to see that, but at least she's got you there with her! I'm keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers!

| I know it must make both of you feel better to have her home. Sounds like she had the best care possible with the pillows and alarms set and the rocking chair...what a good mommy you are. there is nothing like the bond between a mommy and her child to make them both feel better. i will continue to pray for all of you.
