Lily had a bad night, she needs YT prayers please

Lily was going soooo good, but she had a bad night last night. I was up the entire night with her, and I finally got her comfortable, and then this afternoon she started having a hard time again. She was doing alot of crying out in her sleep. At first, she was just kind of whining, but then she was crying more and more. I finally did figure out why though! She was a little constipated. I think maybe the wet dog food mixed with formula is a little too much for her right now, even though I also add water and make sure it's very thin. I called her vet and asked if it would be okay to give her very thin rice cereal, and he said that would be fine. He said I can also dilute low sodium/fat free chicken broth and see if she will take that. So, I've been giving her the chicken broth first in a syringe because I know how important it is for her to have fluid. She really seems to like it alot, and she has been able to go to the bathroom now, so she's comfortable again. Thank God!

She scares me so bad when she cries like that. The only thing I could do was rock her gently and talk to her. She loves it when we talk to her, and she likes to be rocked. I even hummed to her, and she would whimper when I would stop lol. She's being really playful again and just so much better. I feel so bad for Jake when she cries because he seems so worried and a little scared.

I'm ashamed to admit that I had a little meltdown today when my hubby called from work to check on her. I just couldn't stop crying, I was upset, worried and scared. I try not to let Lily know how worried I get because I don't want her to possibly pick up on it. My hubby gave me a little pep talk and told me everything will be fine, I just needed some rest. So, I got a little nap when he came home, and I am feeling better. My daughter is staying with us tonight to get up with her so that I can sleep. I'm not sure if I'll be able to sleep while she's getting up with Lily though because I like to make sure she's okay. I think going without sleep all week and also trying to heal from whiplash is beginning to take its toll, but I just have to keep remembering that it's one day at a time for sweet baby Lily. I love her so much, I just get so scared that I will lose her. I'm sooooo attached to her. I know I have to stay strong for her. I would do anything in the world for her, and I'd give anything if she could be healthy.

Please keep her in your prayers, I know how wonderful those YT prayers are. I would appreciate it so much.

Lily is in my prayers. I hope she has a better night. Get some rest while your daughter is helping. She will wake you if she needs you. Everyone has meltdowns when under stress like you are, nothing to be ashamed about.

AAWW sweety...my prayers are with you and Lily. I know exactly how you feel because I do the same with my Lilly. You Lily is a fighter and she has the best mommy ever. Just remember that she's in the best hands which is God's hand. Prayer is powerful and while I'm praying for mine and losing sleep for mine I'll be prayer for your girl and for you too because I know what you are feeling. Its so hard not get get attached to these little babies...especially the extra special ones.

Oh, I just saw this post and feel so bad that Lily had a bad night and I feel bad for you also. I dont know how you do it because I would be having many breakdowns, you have nothing to be ashamed of. What you are doing for Liliy is amazing and I am sure that when you rock her, she feels so loved and taken care of. Get some rest and I hope Lily bounces back and is doing better soon.

I want you to know that you are doing such a great job with little baby Lily, you also have to take care of yourself so you can take care of her.

I am sure she feels all your Love, and that is what is keeping her going, just hang in there and know you both are in my prayers.

I did not see where it said how old little baby Lily is, she sounds like maybe 4 weeks or less. How old is she? Also how long have you been hand feeding her? I know you must be so exausted, I pray that you get some quality rest while your daughter is there, and that the baby Lily will thrive with all your wonderful care, love, and support.............

Thank you Donna, that means so much to me. Lily is 6 weeks old but due to the Hydrocephalus, she is more like 2-3 weeks old in development. I have had her since July 3rd, a little over a week. I work full time in the evenings so that makes it harder. I'm so fortunate that my husband and I work different shifts so he is with her in the evenings, and I am home all day. He's very good with her, I'm so lucky to have such a caring husband. Lily is very strong and is a fighter, and she has been eating very well. Her weight went from 13 oz to 1 lb. in the first 5 days, which made me so happy. I have not weighed her since last weekend, but I am going to do that next time I feed her. I do believe she has gained more because she looks a little bigger. I get sooooo excited when I see her gain weight. I've been trying to resist the urge to weigh her often because I'm afraid if she doesn't gain, I'll get discouraged. I decided to weigh her once a week because I feel I'll see more progress that way. She's one very sweet little girl, that's for sure.
