| bald neck has anyone had a yorkie where all the hair from her neck is missing - dd scratched so bad one day that a huge swollen lump was on her neck and when taken to vet she had a bacteria infection. That was 4 mos ago and since then no hair has grown back If i do not keep a sock around her neck then she itches so bad it looks like a bloody stain underneath her skin ( no blood) just super red neck - i put neosporin and her sock back on - tried to take sock off tonight and within 5 minutes she itched it so bad it was red and bloody looking so put sock back on so frustrating . Help curious if anyone has experienced this |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | How miserable for dd and her Mom! I wonder if you should try hydrocortisone cream on her neck instead - that would have more anti-itch capability than an antibiotic cream. It almost seems like you might need something even stronger from the vet. I do hope you find a solution.

| Charlie has had demodex, and he is unable to use any cortisone meds. Neosporin is the best antibiotic to keep in their first aid basket. He was bitten near his eye before he came to live with me, and finally had to put a Buster Collar on him to keep him from scratching and reopening the wound. Took a week, neosporin and cool water wash clothes to settle down the itching. Your dd's neck sounds like it is painful, and must make her anxious with itching. Good luck and look forward to hearing good news.

| PS The vet told me that canine hair regrows the most in the fall.
