YT 2000 Club Member | is this normal ? I am baby sitting my mom's female Yorkie, while giving her a bath I felt a bump on her belly. After checking on it it was pus filled and crusted over. Upon further checking it looks like all whe nipples were having a crust on them. I called my mom and she said that she just had a first heat, she was not around any male dogs, she is very protective of her 2 girls. Also she was at the vet before she came to my house. Should we worry about this? |

| I honestly have no idea what it could be. But, if she just came out of heat and her nipples are now swollen yet she hasn't been around any males, could it be a pseudo-pregnancy?? |

Its just an hormonal change . You can place hot water compress on her belly and it will help to reduce it . | |

| It could also be mammory tumors. So common with females who have heat cycles. I hope she will be ok. Let us know what the Vet. had to say. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Thank you to those of you who replied, Mom just called me to let me know her vet assured her that it looks to be hormonal changes and that every thing looks fine. He said that some times this happens but it never hurts to get it checked out. Thanks again to you all who replied. |
