| Help Please, Blood in urine?? Hi everyone, this morning I found a little bit of blood in Trixie's urine. She's acting completely herself and eating fine but this definately cannot be normal. I noticed she's going to her box to leave out just dribbles of pee. She has pee'd her usual long pee when she gets up but now has gone back a few times to let out just a dribble. Has anyone had their baby do this before? Could it maybe be a urinary tract infection?? I'm starting to freak here and since its Sunday my vet is closed. If anyone has any suggestions on what this may be I'd really appreciate the help. Thank you so much.

| It sounds very much like a urinary tract infection. I would not worry too much for now. If she stops peeing or starts acting sick or like she is in pain, she needs to go to the Emergency Vet to rule out stones and/or obstruction. Otherwise, call your regular vet first thing in the morning. Until then, try to force water down her if you can. You could make up some chicken broth (no added salt or onions, just boil chicken in water) and see if she will lap that up. This is how my cat's UTI first started. If you have ever had one yourself, the symptoms and treatment are the same for fur kids as for humans.

| I know in humans, when their is blood in the urine it's gone beyond the urinary tract infection and means there is most likely a bladder infection. But I'm not certain about pups. If she doesn't seem like she's in pain then it probably isn't a bladder infection though.

| She doesn't seem to be in pain at all. She's actually rolling around and beating up her BOBO as I'm typing this. She also just drank how much water on her own and is acting her typical self. If I didn't see the blood, I never would have thought something was wrong. She just has me a nervous wreck now. I hate seeing blood.

| my little girl had it and she had crystals in her bladder. they can give meds for this but if it gets too bad, then an operation is needed. i would probably have her ck'd. the vet will require a urine sample and if you cannot get one, they can extract it themselves. good luck i hope everything turns out ok

Hi, thanks for the help. Was your little girl acting sick or anything? Trixie will be going to the vet tomorrow for sure. I only hope that she doesn't start feeling sick and in pain today. I'm crossing my fingers we get her to the vet before that happens.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | When Cali had an UTI the only way I knew was she pee on my bed something she has never done and she kept licking herself down their again something she doesn't do. I called the vet and took in a urine sample and she had one they gave me 2 meds. It cleared up quickly. Hope she feels better soon

| Thank you so much. I'm praying its nothing major. I'm just so nervous right now for her. Ever since I almost lost Pia after being spayed, everything now sends me into a panic. If any of my babies even look sick I'm usually running to the vet. I guess I'm a hyperchodriac when it comes to them.

| Update on Trixie Hi everyone, I wanted to give an update on Trixie. We just got back from the vet and she does have an infection. Atleast they found no crystals/stones She has to take meds for two weeks and then have her urine checked again. She's doing great and doesn't seem to feel sick at all. She was a very good girl taking her meds, she usually puts up a big fight. Thank you all for trying to help me with this matter. I really appreciate it. Trixie sends all of you tons of kisses
