| Inari may have eaten a safety pin.... Forgetting I had used a few small safety pins on a comforter with a hole in it on my bed, I allowed Nari to sleep with me last night. Tonight while climbing in to bed I kept finding metal pieces. It appears to be the folded clasp portion of the safety pins, just chewed and mangled into a tight ball. I have not found the actual PIN part of it, which worries me. They were realitivly small quilting safety pins (half an inch or so long). I haven't been able to sleep for searching for it, hoping to find it someplace. Im afraid at this point that Nar may have just eaten it, since its nowhere to be found. I cant sleep just thinking about it. I will call the vet first thing in the morning, but if anyone is reading this now any advice/suggestions I would be thrilled to hear anyones thoughts. My poor baby...of course my mind is racing with all the possible worsts.... |

| Safety Pin If it makes you feel any better, when I first got my poodle Elvira, I thought she had eaten one of my button earrings. It did turn up. Keep looking! Good luck. Erika |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I agree if you haven't found all pieces a xray will let you know for sure if he swallowed it. Cali was in for a possible intestinal blockage and it showed a little rhinestone off my dtr's cell phone. The vet said it wasn't a problem and that that wasn't a blockage she would pass it fine. But with a pin I would check it out. Good luck

| XRay this morning, all is good i totally agree, wondering is so much worse than just spending the money for the Xray. Poor thing, she woke up happy as a lark with no problems or symptoms and then spent the day getting an x ray. Oh well. Nothing turned up in the pictures. Sigh of relief...Thank you all. |
