| Hi,how is the dog in himself? Is he running around as normal or just the stools are different? I think if it was one of mine Id take them to the vets. You never know what they have picked up,or he could have just ate something wierd! Hope he gets better soon. |

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Bird Poop?? WHen my dogs gets a yummy bite of Good ole bird poo hers gets like that. I'd seek out the vet suggestion The jelly like poo wasn't the problem, the problem was the bacteria and yicky stuff she had picked up from it (they think) She was put on medicine for 5 days and gone. Doesnt take much in these lil guys/gals!! Hope that helps! Oh, is he playing and eating as usual??

| If the stool is covered in the jelly like substance this is the anal sacs emptying, which is normal. If it's in the stool, take a sample to the vet and see what they say. Good Luck!

| Several things could be causing this, coccidia which can be picked up from eating bird, rabbit and other animal poop. The best thing to do is to get him to the vet so that he can have his stool checked and provide the proper medication, if necessary.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I didn't know this!!!!!!! What great information. So, if there is "jelly" around the poop, it's just anal sacks - but if it's in it, it might be abnormal. Learned something new!
