| HELP Bruizers really sick! All day yesterday Bruizer was just laying around and sleeping alot. I noticed he is not eating and is weak. He is throwing up (water it looks like) and has the diarea, I give him some pepto bismo and he still this morning will not eat and is just moeping around the house. I tryed to get on here last night but the one time I need help asap, we were being swiched to our NEW SERVER! I don't know if he is having a late reaction to being wormed (saturday I wormed him), or if he might have a "flu like" virus. My two year old son has this virus right now...... What can I give him and what should I do to get him to eat? Thank you for any advice in advance!!!!!!

| Im not sure if it has to do with the worming bc i dont know about that. As far as what you can feed him, my bella loves cottage cheese, boiled chicken, carrots, any green vegatable, rice. you can also feed baby food (as long as there are no onions in it). whenever bella throws up or has loose stools, i give her pedialtye to make sure she doesnt get dehydrated. i hope this helps...anymore questions feel free to ask!!!!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | At only 4 months old, I'd get him to the vet asap. These little guys can get really bad, really quick if left for a few days in this kind of state. Believe me.

| Okay, I just got back from the vet and he is not sure what is wrong. He started him an a wormer, I give to him once a day for three days (for tape and hook worm) and gave him a shot for anti diaria. He wants to see him back saturday and if Bruizer is not any better then we will start parvo percautions. (even thought he has had all his puppy shots) I hope this works as I am out of money cause I just has surgery on my sheltie and it costed $485. Now Bruizers bill was only $55 But I have bills coming up next week. So I am crossing my fingers that this works and please Keep us in your thought and prayer. Thank you all soooooooooo much!!!!!

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | there is a parvo test the vet could do if he thinks that is what it might be. it sounds like he is giving him the worming medication on a whim and if that doesn't work then he thinks it may be parvo. that's not something you want to mess around with. also, if bruizer has been lethargic and vomiting, intestinal parasites is not what i would go with. if he continues to not do good i'd get a second opinion.

| That is exactly what he said, (if this don't work we'll check for parvo) But I really don't think he has it cause he has not been exposed to anything new or and new animals, and he has had all his shots. I know that parvo is a big bad battle and most end in tragicly and the sooner you catch it the better but most vets charge you just to examin the dog and as I hav stated all the $$ I had saved up for vet expences just went toward exactly that. I was just saying to my cousin the other day that if bruizer got sick or sometimg I couldn't afford it cause I just spent allmost $500 on my other dog's operation. I think I jynxed myself. Is it possable for an animal to get the same virus as a human, cause my son has diaria and has been sick for the past day and a half right now too. and they have allmost the same symtoms. I think Bruizer was throwing up casue he ate grass out in the yard the other day. Cause so far today he hasn't thrown up. He will only drink water, no eating yet. (I did get him to eat one of his treats........the are canine carryouts that I gat from walmart for like 94 cents can I give him a few to eat if he wants?)

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | people and dogs can't pass common illnesses to each other, so whatever your son had isn't what bruizer has. Dogs eat grass because there stomach is upset. have you tried boiled hambuger meat with all the fat stained out? i know you tried chicken already. ALso your vet probably carries a food called I/D which is safe on the digestive tract.
