| HELP Mickey's Butt!!! I need advice I woke up to mickey all stuck and his butt really read from pushing his poop out. He's been sad all day and not himself. I know he's in pain as his stomach isn't hard. If he doesn't get better by tomorrow I'm going to call the vet, but I was wondering if there was anything I can put on his butt to help ease the pain for tonight? I know its late and i'm praying someone is on here that can help my baby!!! I hate to see him so upset. I missed class today to to stay home with him! Please help thanks |

| Maybe hemroid medicine. Baby pain reliever by mouth. You might give him a warm egg & cook it in grease or add some grease, then warm a towel in the dryer & put it on his tummy. Poor baby. Might need glands cleaned to. |

| Its kind of hard to explain. When I woke up he had a huge pice of poop stuck to his hair on his butt. Then When I looked to clean it his butt was very swollen and red but not bleeding or anything. I was sleeping when this happend so I dont know what happened 100% sadly. I cleaned him up and this was at about 4:30pm and his butt isn't swollen anymore but its very red and sore. He isn't crying but he's just sitting next to me and not doing anything. he did eat earlier but I know he's in pain. I was afraid to put anything on it. |

| The good thing is he isn't bleeding and sounds like he is very irritated. Do you have vaseline? You could rub a bit on his bottom as long as you cleaned him up. Take a warmed wash cloth (rinsed in warm water) and gently clean his bottom. Is he crying? Straining to poop?

| Try a nice warm butt bath and compress that always works for us. After drying I use a little emu oil on the bum and a kiss on the nose. |

| Warm water compress is an excellent idea. The vet will most likely prescribe an antibiotic for his irritated bottom to help with the healing. Any first aid ointment will sooth his bottom just make sure it safe for him to us, and he won't lick it off. Take care and I am sure he will be okay until the morning.

| I wouldn't recommend soap because he is very tender. Just make sure the poopy is removed. He must have really strained and everything was dry. This happens sometimes and try to get him to drink more water in the future.

| ya he doesn't drink enough I know that much. Maybe I need to look up foods again as people don't recommend the one that I'm using for him. He's so picky! I also gave him meat for the first time (people food) so that might've done it as well! As i know from my past yorkie their stomachs are really bad |

| You could mix a bit of shampoo as long as it isn't full strength in the warm water. Make sure to rinse well and you are a good momma.
