| HELP! About teeth... Hey guys, Mr. Biggs will be 2 years old in 3 months. He never lost 2 of his baby teeth (the fang ones). Is it normal that one of them is loose now? Eventhough he's almost 2 years old? When I try and wiggle it, it bleeds a tiny bit at the gums.. I don't think he's in any pain though, because he still eats his hard treats. Any help would be apreciated.

| If they haven't fallen out yet on their own, they won't and they need to be taken out. Usually this is done when the pup is under for a neuter or a spay. Now that he's two, he could probably use a scraping and polish, so why not while he's already under ( jmo). Good luck!

| I just got Trea's out at her vet, and she was 1 year and 5 months old. Now she got neuter when she was 8 mths., but all of the teeth were not quit in yet, so that is why I waited a little longer then normal. I would recommend your vet doing a deep cleaning while she is put down.

| At 2 years old, they probably will never come out on their own. The bleeding might indicate gum problems because of the extra teeth. I just had mine done yesterday, all 4 stubborn baby fangs.

| Yeah, the vet had told me that at the last visit. That if they didn't come out on their own then they would have to be pulled out. I don't plan on having him neutered, but I do plan on having a cleaning. I was just wondering if it was normal for one of his baby teeth to be loose when he's almost 2 years old. But I guess I'm going to have to plan a trip to the vet just in case

| Murfee is 3 and still has one of his baby fangs. Surprisingly, he lost the other baby fand when he was 2! I doubt that this one will come out on it's own. I am just so afraid to have him put under. I won't even have him groomed because I don't want to leave him.

| Misha had to have her canines taken out. The roots were very deep & long. They would have never come out on there own.

I posted a picture of the teeth taken out in this thread. The roots were deep. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...t=75374&page=2
