Please pray for Lilo (both back knees are bad!!) - YorkieTalk.com Forums

On saturday night, she was chasing me down the stairs and she hurt her back right leg and started limping on it 50 % of the time.. I thought that maybe she just twisted it, and since she didn't look like she was in pain I decided to wait till monday to take her to my regular vet.
Now I just came back from the vet ,and I'm all in tears, BC the vet after he did Xrays on her, told me that both of her knees are bad. It's not laxeting patella, but this condition characterizes by that knees are popping in and out from knee caps! He send me to the specialist, but the surgent cant see us for consult until next week, tuesday.
I'm a total nerv wrack right now!!!! I've been going thru a lot of stress lately, Bc of divorce and possible bancrupcy, and that didn't have such a big affect on me as this bad news about Lilos condition.She is my baby ,and I can't imagine anything happening to her.
She is sleeping next to me right now, all drugged up, from anastesia and pain meds. She is going to be taking pain meds every day now.

I can't imagine what else it could be. Popping knee caps is almost always luxating patellas. Did they maybe say ACL?

Either way....good thoughts for you and your baby. I know how hard it is to see them in pain and have to wait for an appointment. I'll be thinking of you.

I'm sorry to hear about your Lilo.

Sounds like you yourself haven't been having a very good time of it.

How does that saying go " When it rains, it pours ".

But, remember sometimes their is a rainbow whenever it stops raining.

I hope you find your rainbow.

I am so sorry to hear about Lilo.....I will definately keep Lilo and you in my thoughts & prayers. Let's hope the new vet can offer some other treatment options.

Thanks to everyone for warm thoughts. I'm such a worry mommy, and nothing will make me feel better ,than seeing Lilo back to health.

As someone going through this, too... I know you worry yourself to death, I do, too. But I can also tell you this. Pixie had her surgery yesterday, and she came through with flying colors. It's going to be a long few weeks of recovery, then the other leg. But it is a regular problem that vets deal with all the time - and they can fix it and make it better.

You're definitely in my thoughts, but remember that you're not alone and everything will work out in the long run, even if there's a couple surgeries in there.
