| A Close Call (we're OK) Sully and I went on a walk this morning - well we just got back. I'm still shaking as I type this. My neighborhood is next to a horse farm, though I rarely see many horses back there. Whenever we walk toward the back of our neighborhood property, Sully likes to go off-leash b/c there are no cars, and a lot of open spaces for him to run. Today, Sully was off-leash and ran underneath the barbed wire, and a horse started chasing him and tried to stomp him several times!!! I was SCREAMING "Sully, come here!" like bloody murder.......and Sully did, he came, and he's OK, not a scratch on him. But that's the last time I take him off-leash, probably ever. I can't believe I almost lost him forever. I am telling you guys this: 1) to vent b/c I'm just beside myself right now and, 2) to remind you that it only takes one mistake, one second, to lose our babies forever. Just like that, and it's over. So, always err on the "better safe than sorry" route.

| OMG poor Sully and YOU! I would have freaked out! I think this just goes to show how important the "COME" command is. Glad you're both ok, hugs and kisses out to both of you

| OMG Val, I would have flipped out!! Thank God Sully is a smart boy and ran back to you!! I'm so glad he's ok ... it could have been a real tragedy. I TOTALLY agree with you about always using the leash. It takes just one second for a tragedy to occur and then a lifetime of regrets and sorrow. Poor Sully, he must have been so scared!! Give him hugs and kisses from me and my gang.

| That certainly was a close call. Thank heavens he's alright. Good boy Sully to listen to your mommy and come on the "Command" call. If only Buddy would take it more seriously Carol & Buddy |
