| she got into the garbage! i came home from the mall today and there was garbage all over the place. what makes it worse is that i weighed mika- yesterday she weigh 9.5lb, now shes up to 11lbs. im scared that somethings going to happen to her. she's acting normal though, just sleepier than usual, so i don't think we will take her to the vet.. what do you think ?

I pulled this from a website I found.. http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/...in654043.shtml TOMATO AND POTATO: The red, ripe fruit of the tomato is edible and may cause nothing more than stomach irritation to pets with sensitive stomachs. It's the green part of the tomato or a green unripe tomato and the plant part - the stem, the leaves, etc., that is hazardous. Tomatoes and potatoes are in the same family of plants, so both have similar side effects if the green part of the plant is ingested. Again, depending on the amount ingested you will see the common gastrointestinal effects - vomiting, diarrhea and drooling. In addition to these signs, look for decreased heart rate and drooling. Hope shes feeling better tomarrow | |

| Watch her very closely, tomatoes are a "NO NO" food and lasagna generally has a tomato based sauce. Good luck..... poor baby hope she doesn't get a belly ache |

| Thats what it says here.. The red, ripe fruit of the tomato is edible and may cause nothing more than stomach irritation to pets with sensitive stomachs. I'd just watch for the symptoms it lists tonight and tomorrow until she passes it..but if your really worried then just take her to the vet. |

| OH no, naughty girl! I hope she doesn't get too ill, but if she does perhaps it'll turn her off of eating out of the garbage Just make sure that if she has vomiting and runny poo, to keep her hydrated Oh big tummyache Poor girl

| So has mine, and he never had an upset tummy or anything. But it was the red, ripe part that he ate - which is what's in tomato sauce.
