| Help!!! Alfie is sick Alfie is not very well at all. Yesterday he was sick and had the runs. He was throwing up a bit, just bile. However by lunch time he had perked up and ate his food and seemed fine. This morning though, he pooped in his bed and then threw up this horrible brown sticky stuff. I didn't see it myself but my partner cleaned it up. He said this happened 5 times. He now has the runs again and hasn't eaten anything. We didn't take him to the vet yesterday because he was ok by lunch time. But today the vets closed. I live in France, I don't know what the emergency et procedure is. Does anyone know what I should do? If he doesn't get better I will take him in tomorrow. |

| Poor Alphie, I have no idea what could cause this. I, personally, would rush him to the vet, but since yours is closed I just don't know. Perhaps in a while some of the more knowledgeable members will be on and may offer some insight. In the meantime, I will certainly be praying for this little one! Please keep us updated.

| He's not doing too bad at the moment. I gave him some egg about 2 hours ago and so far he hasn't been sick. He had a very runny poop about 1hr30 mins ago. Hopefully the egg will help. He's sleeping at the moment. We will see how he goes for a little longer. If he gets bad again I have found an emergency number. Please keep your fingers crossed he is over the worst..... |

| I know that canned pumpkin (without spices) is good for poop issues. I'm not sure if that will help settle his tummy as well or not. I would also try some yogurt with active cultures to help his tummy.

It's now 18:30 here and he hasn't vomited since about 11am. He has had a very bad case of the runs. I have given him some egg which seems to have helped. He wasn't too well yesterday morning but got better in the afternoon. At the moment we don't know what to do, he is running around and is very happy. Its so strange, we are going to see how he is in the morning. If he is bad again we are taking him to the vet. How are your two girls now? have they stopped vomiting? do they have any other symptoms like Alfie? | |

| I am so glad Alfie is feeling better. The girls are doing ok for now. They both just ate some chicken and rice that I boiled for them. They ate it like it was the best thing in the world. Right now, Reghan is playing with her ball and wrestling with Roxie. They are both acting perfectly fine. Thats so weird! No vomiting yet! We are keeping our fingers croosed!!! I have noticed that Roxie keeps sniffing Reghan's bottom ALOT!!! That is kinda strange. The only symptoms the girls had were: vomitting once, acting kinda tired, and Rhegan had the shakes a little (but that might have been due to getting her first bath). Well, It seems like our babies are doing okay! Thank God for that! We will keep you guys in our prayers! Keep me updated!-Tara

| Alfie was sick again this morning so called the vet. They squeezed him in this morning and did blood tests and an xray. The blood was fine but the xray showed that he has a build up of gas which is blocking the intestines. He was given an injection, i assume to release the gas, and has to go back this evening for a check up and another shot also possibly another x ray. Just after making the appointment he pooped and it was liquid and completely red with blood. It scared the hell out of me. He's not allowed to eat anything today and I have to give him small amounts of water every hour. Poor little guy. He is still very perky considering.... When Alfie eats he blows up like a balloon. I spoke to my usual vet a month ago and he suggested feeding 4 small meals a day. I am doing this but he still sometimes blows up. I wonder if this is an ongoing problem which has suddenly got worse? I saw my normal vets colleague today who doesn't speak english so my other half is coming with me tonight to explain this. I didn't know how to myself. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks for all the kind words. |

| Grayson was going through this a few weeks ago too, we were told to not feed for 24 hours, He could have small amounts of water, after 24 hours if no vomiting then feed boiled chicken and rice every hour only 1 tsp to begin with, and then the second day to increase it. You can also give babyfood chicken if your little one won't eat the chicken and rice. Grayson went on anti nausa meds to help stop the runs and vomiting, and also went on antibotics for a week. keep us posted on your little one!!
