| Heads Up on the Peter Pan I just took Roxy to the vet. She has had diarreha/softies and a little yakking for the past few days. No change in her behavior so I wasn't really worried, yet. She does get a couple bites of my toast and peanut butter for breakfast and yes, it turns out I have the contaminated batch. The vet said she has salmonella and after ruling out everything else, it is most likely from the Peter Pan. She is on chicken and rice (which she has always been) but no other dog food. And antibiotics, of course. She had a little fever and weighed 6lbs 14 oz. So anyone who has fed their babies any of the pb, keep an eye out.

| We had a jar from the bad batch, too. My husband had eaten out of it a couple of times, and said it didn't taste good. I just told him not to eat anymore of it (this was before we knew it was bad). Later on he complained of a slight belly ache. I guess he didn't eat enought to make him really sick. Luckily, we don't feed it to the pups, so they'll be alright. I went ahead and tossed it, so the skin kids wouldn't grab it for a snack.... |

| Sandi I am so sorry you got a contaminated jar! Just your luck Glad Roxy is going to be fine. It's a good thing you took her to the vet when you did. What about yourself? Everything alright with you? You were also eating it! Take care and hugs to Roxy from Buddy. Carol & Buddy |

| I had two jars from the batch numbers listed, one creamy and one crunchy. I threw them out but we had eaten probably a third of each with no problems that I know of. My husband has had a cold/flu for the last 10 days. Now he thinks it must be salmonella. I tried to explain the difference in symptoms but he is sure he has it anyway. Poor baby! Whatever he has, he has been miserable. I had it too but a much lighter case. I haven't eaten any Peanut Butter since at least 1/26 cause I started Nutrisystem.

| I too had a jar of the bad stuff. We had eaten about 1/3 of it, fortunately with no problems. However, I did give each of my babies a little lick off my finger. Guess it wasn't enough to hurt them. Everyone is OK and the PB is in the trash! |

| I'm sorry your baby got sick. That's awful! I had a jar of the bad stuff, too, but I had not given her any of it. A couple of friends of mine had some of the bad stuff, too. Let us know how quickly she bounces back.

| We ended up having a jar of the recalled stuff too. It was a big jar and was already 3/4 gone! Now that I think back, there were a few times that the kids complained of a little tummy upset over the last month or so which is pretty unusual for them. Doesn't mean they got it from the PB but it's highly possible.

Sorry about your baby! I hope she feels better. I also had 2 jars of the bad peanut butter. One jar tasted funny so I bought another. Luckily no one got sick really. Tummy aches here and there but no way to tell for sure if it was the PB. YES Walmart will take back the pb and give you a cash refund. | |
