| Tiggy completed hip joint removal surgurey Today she was operated on and the surgurey was a success. She had Leggs-Perthes disease where the hip joint is cut off of blood and thus results in deteiorating of the joint. She was limping for 3 weeks before today. I cried seeing Tiggy so sad, and her whole butt and hind leg area shaved. She had a 4 inch stitch line. The vet showed me the piece of hip join that was removed. It was about half a inch long and i can see visually the area where it was deteriorating. We kissed her and kissed her but she was so sad and in pain. The vet was nice enough to let us see her 2 hours after the surgurey. I cried seeing my normal jumpy and full of live Tiggy so sad and she looked if she cried herself. Her hair around her eyes were so wet. I wished I could hug her the whole night but she is staying over at the vet's. I am expected to pick her tomorrow. The next step is physical therapy but I'm not sure what therapy to give her. Has anyone went through this and what happens after surgurey? I will be putting up pictures on a new link soon. I will show Tiggy's shaved area, her stiches, and I will also show the picture of the hip joint if noone finds it horrid =( anyway, please give some prayers for Tiggy's quick recovery. I was most worried when Tiggy went through anthesthisa but I am still worried because it's a long 2-3 month process before TIggy can actually move again. Also, we want to make sure she redevelop the area properly. (The muscles acts as its replacement) Thanks again for reading and I pray for every sick/not feeling well yorkie/doggie on this forum to feel better!

| I'm so sorry to read this. I imagine Tiggy will heal quickly and be all the better for it. It's really hard to watch them go through these things. I feel for you!
