Ralphie is very ill..

Poor baby! I do hope they will soon find the cause of this and get it cleared up. Toto only had something similar once in her life .... "an inflammation in her intestine" and it cleared up in no time with Flagyl and it never reoccurred. We will certainly keep little Ralphie in our prayers!

This all started at the beginning of Jan 2007. Although he has had bouts of diareah, they always resolved with flagyl. This has been something else.

He has lost about 6-8 ounces from his body--and he should be 4.8 or maybe a little bigger.

after reading your first post i was thinking Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) too. Has he done any better on the venison and potatoe diet? usually that helps IBD patients. Also, with the diarrhea is there like a gooey substance that comes out with the poo? Maybe he has colitis ?

have they checked for Giardia??? b/c it sounds as if that was what they were treating him for (Flagyl).

I'm so sorry that Ralphie is not feeling well. I hope they find out what is wrong with him really soon!! Keep us updated. In the meantime, lots of good thought going out to you and Ralphie.

I send lots of prayers and love your way. Hopefully they will find out what's wrong with Ralphie and be able to treat him and bring him right back 100 percent. It's amazing how much they mean to us.....I speak from experience, because I had a scare this morning with my Sparky. But his wasn't as serious as Ralphie. Keep us posted and remember you are not in this alone....you have all the love and prayers from your friends here.
