Have you tried some rice cooked with chicken broth? When mine are sick, they still eat that and the rice really pumps them up with carbs. Hope he's better soon.

Hey hun, Riddick went through this.. I was so worried all the time about him.. I did lots of research and I found that you can put a bit of cottage chesse on his food.. I'd also chop up this dog food.. He'd only eat it til after I did that.. Strange doggie of mine.. And when I feared that his blood sugar was low I took a tablespoon of white sugar to a table spoon of water.. Riddick loved that..
Try these and see if your baby will eat...
hugs...

Poor baby I'd get a second opinion on the hypoglycemic thing, I think even a 100 lb animal could go hypoglycemic if they went without food long enough. Of course, that's just my opinion, I'm no vet.

Prayers on the way!!!!!!

When Piper was sick & wouldn't eat, I tried everything. Cooked baby carrots in brown sugar worked. She was getting something to eat, along with the brown sugar it was like having a little nutrical with them. The vet told me I did good. Cottage cheese worked also. I did give some baby rice cereal with some honey also. A little something is better than nothing.

Cali has 3 episodes of hypoglycemia even at 6-7 months of age and 4lbs. I had to give her chicken and cesar's dog food to make sure she ate enough. Try the Nutrical and I hope the bloodwork comes back ok.

Gracie used to go on food strikes for several days at a time. She would eat nothing but cheese or baby food chicken (no onions). I just gave her Nutrical 3 times a day. Eventually she would eat. Someone on here once said that a Yorkie will not let itself starve, it will eat eventually. I found the more things I tried with Gracie, the more strikes she would have and the more picky she became. I finally stopped trying to please her and put out the same food day after day. Eventually she ate. Apparently variety is not the spice of life with her. I also found out that she does not like her kibble moistened with water, and for a long time did not like kibble mixed in with her wet food. I suggest starting back at square one with the food and supplement her with Nutrical. Be sure to discuss your concerns with your vet. I hope Royce is doing better soon!

Sorry he is not eating. You have lots of good ideas above.
I do hope your baby starts eating. Chicken breast and rice they
all seem to love. I would start with that.If he does eat it
just add alittle to his regular food. I started that with Buddy
when he was sick two yrs ago and still add it. He won't eat just the
regular kibble. They have to be tricked into eating sometimes.
Carrots and greenbeans is another healthy thing to add.

Good luck.

Default Update on Royce

I left for work this morning and i was worried as royce didnt touch his food ...at 10 am I called the vet office and she told me that his blood results are normal...i was worried because he didnt eat in the morning so i left work and went home . Royces tummy was making weird noises ( because hehad an empty stomach for 2 days ) and he was a little bit down ....I rushed him to the vet he did a second complete physical exam and confirmed to me that everything is ok regarding the blood tests...so nothing iswrong with him the vet told me that sometimes for unexplained reasons small dogs would stop eating and he gave me a seringe and I have to feed him with the seringe and eventually his appetite will go back to normal if not monday I have to take him again the vet they will examine him again and decide eitehr to give him medication to stimulate his appetite or to put him under perfusion......please keep royce in your prayers

Same thing with Boo. He grew out of it. He eats plenty in the morning and afternoon now. Try nutra call or some supplements.?

I asked the vet and he said it's a possibility since he is very attached to me and some dogs are very sensitive
