| Fungi Rash?? HELLO EVERYONE, I just took my Gizmo to the vet in Vegas because his skin seemed very dry and nothing was working I tried relief and nothing...he even started losing his hair on his little legs!!! So I moved back to California recently and took him to the vet again to get a second opinion and he took a sample from his leg and came back saying it was a FUNGI RASH!!! how does one even get this...I was sooo surprised...He have me a lot of medicine for him but he skin still seems dry and he has a little bit of hair compared to my friends yorkie does anyone have any suggestions or should i take him to the vet again?? Let me know I am worried............

| I am sorry your baby is having problems. What kind of food are you feeding him? What kind of shampoo and conditioner are you using? What kind if any supplements are you giving him? |

| Hmm, I have no clue! That is weird Maybe the medicine just needs time to work. What do you feed him? Is he on Missing Link or any other supplements? High quality diet is KEY to their coat I hope that he's all better soon

| I tried Missing Link for a month or so and it didn't work..I am feeding him Nutro Puppy Lamb and Rice with a little bit of wet food of the same..THe vet gave me a medicated shampoo for fungi rash but im still worried cuz it doesnt seem to be working...What kind of shampoos do u guys use or what food do u feed urs??

| Chachi was given a medicated shampoo for a skin irritation once. It takes a little bit of time for it to work

| No I didnt because I didnt want anything to inactivate the shampoo. I know the shampoo is very drying but you want it to dry that fungus out.

| Ok...then i will do that...THANK YOU!!! I WILL KEEP U GUYS UPDATED...OH YEA ANOTHER QUESTION...this is my first puppy and its a boy...weird question i noticed him walked funny so i looked where his back legs were at and noticed his little balls were bigger than the last time i looked rite and they seem a little red like irritated..does that mean that hes suppose to get neutered already...??? that means he wont have kids right?? Hes goign to be 6 months on the 19...what if i want him to have kids??

| As long as both of his testicles are down he can impregnate a female. I would ask your vet about the redness

With all due respect... This is your first yorkie and there is much more then letting two dogs do the deed involved. You really need to educate yourself about breeding FIRST. Also you puppy while very cute has problems that you do not want to pass on that would not be good for the breed. I know your here to learn and there are a lot of informative threads here that will do that. It would be best to have your puppy neutered ASAP. | |
