Omg Ate my diamond earrings...

...I think. I looked everywhere and can't find them. I took them off and sat them on my bed then forgot so they may have rolled off, onto the floor. Would I know if he did eat them? Does he have to be in discomfort? When would they come out? I didn't suspect him until like 3 days later so I didn't check his poop at first. They're studs, he's 12ish weeks.

I think it is possible he ate your earrings. I have no idea how long it would take for them to work through his system, however. Depending on the size, I would also think there might be some discomfort, particularly if they are posts. Sorry I can't be more help.

your gonna have to rip apart your house
and squish threw his poop
if you dont find them i would take him to the vet & get an xray
they might get stuck or scratch his insides
good luck an keep us updated !

Maybe you should just take him for an xray.
If they are still in there you would see it in the xray

Well, good luck with that poo mushing. Hope you have a pair of rubber gloves
He'll probably be fine. My poodle Indy swallowed my pearl earring once and I got it back - of course the pearl coating was gone from the acid in his tummy - but he was fine.

I think the easiest thing would be to take him for an xray. My vet xrays cost about 50 at my vet in fort lauderdale, but then 35 at my vet in tallahassee. i guess it just depends. also, try looking around the bed more, maybe they did fall off......good luck!!!

How long did it take you to get it back?? I'm really not worried, not because I'm insensitive, but with the way he eats and poops he should be ok. He's had the hiccups a little though, but only for like 30sec.

When i went they gave it back to me right away. she had an xray bc she had liquid in her lungs, but i assume a xray is a xray and you would get it back within 30 minutes just like i did. you just have to wait. my baby just had the hiccups for the first time, it lasted a little while and she slept them away...i guess they could happen for a bunch of reasons. good luck, keep us posted!!

It could be that he just played with them and hid them somewhere. Try scanning your floors with a flashlight at night, maybe you might see the sparkle. I know that Gracie played with her baby teeth rather than swallow most of them, as she does with most small things. Just a thought...

Poor little guy! I hope you find the earrings, but I am worried about him. I would definitely take him for xrays - it wouldn't hurt - and you can make sure that they are not doing harm, if they are still inside him.... and then that might put your mind at ease that they are not there, so you can keep looking around your house. Good luck!

Gracie actually did this when she was a pup. I took them out of my ears and set them on my end table by the couch. I went into the other room for 2 seconds to get my cleaner for them and they were gone. I found one dug into the carpet....they were bent up pretty good but she never ate it. The other was in her toy box!!!! I was relieved she never ate it but the treasure hunt wasnt fun either!!! I learn to always take everything with me if I want to keep it cause with yorkies in the house I find a lot of things in their toy box that do not belong there!!!!
