Your post brought tears to my eyes. Indy had a long, loved life but it must still be so hard to be without him now. He will always be in your heart and memories. Glad you have little Tink to help you through this time.

This hits me hard because we have an older dachshund that won't be with us much longer. She is 14 and very arthritic. One day soon I will have to make the decision and I hope I will have the courage to do what is best for her.

May Indy find the grass always green in his final forever home. God bless you all!

He made it through the night Saturday and seemed to rally in the morning, but when I came home from church and checked him, it was clear that it was time to send him home. Not the gift I would have wished for Christmas, but God was good to give me Tink a few weeks ago to learn to love before Indy had to leave.

Tink keeps looking for him and crying - bless her little heart. She is really going to miss him even though she teased the dickens out of him. He was so patient with her.

Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts of us. We do appreciate it. 17 years is a long time to have a little guy to love and be loved by. It will be tough to look at his empty place in the living room and to not have to watch where my feet are in the bed. He was a very wonderful little buddy, he saw me through the loss of both my parents and my best friend. Now, I'm saying goodbye to the best furbaby I ever had.

Father, keep an eye on my little guy and make sure he has lots of grass to run in. He dearly loved to do that.

I am so sorry, he is @ the Rainbowbridge now playing painfree with all the other Yorkie's! Sounds like you had many happy yrs with him, and did the kindest thing you can do for him !

I am so sorry for your loss. Even tho you don't have your baby you have 17 years of happy, loving memories to make you smile. Be free of pain, little Indy, and let the wind blow your ears back as you run thru the green fields at the Rainbow Bridge. God Bless.

God bless you in your sorrow! Aren't we glad that God allows us to have the joy and love of our furry friends? It's so hard to let them go, but it would be worse if we didn't get to have them at all! I hope that little Tink can help fill the hole that is left by Indy! I hope I'm as fortunate as you and get to have Phoebe for 17 years! Wow, you must be a really awesome yorkie mama! Lots of hugs and prayers...
