Any updates this evening on how your baby is? There are lots of prayers going up for him AND for you. I know he's on your mind and your heart.

Adding my prayers for your little guy's swift recovery. I like the name T.O. you can make it mean whatever fits his current mood or situation.

Ticked Off, Time Out, Take Off
Tame Otter, Trick Out, Tore Off
Too Obstinate, Tiny One, Too Onery
Two Options, Total Omnificence, Top Oner
and on and on and on...... see what fun you two will have with this name? I am praying he will be home with you soon!

awwww!! I am sending lots of thoughts and hugs for both of you. It is so sad this had to happen when you just barely brought him home too. i am going through something similar, having to part with my baby b/c he's sick. but he's being taken care of and in good hands i'm sure.

i love the pictures btw, he looks so cute and sweet!! i can just imagine how in love you are with him. hehe.

oh yea, there's another thread about hypoglycemia, that could give you good ideas on what to do when you're able to bring him home. worth a search, there were some great info.

Default Update on T.O.

Well, last night I talked to the breeder and she said they have his bloodsugar under control!!! YEAH! She said he is still not wanting to eat and they are having to give him water in a syringe also (which was a problem at first when I got him but by the first morning I had him he loved water at my house...he drank it all day so that worries me that he won't drink it anymore) he may be picky because I have different water at my house than the breeder has..who knows? Maybe he is a water snob...they are going to try to give him bottled water...
They are also treating his coccidia which my vet told me not to do so I truly believe that once he is over that he will want to eat like a normal dog....he is taking a little bit of food on his own...just a little. But, the best news yet is that he is no longer vomiting and he isn't having diarrhea right now...so he will stay hydrated and hopefully the little guy will be home with me soon.
Thanks to all for such hopeful posts and all the prayers!! I truly truly truly appreciate them!!

ok guys the breeder just called and said that he didn't get the email that I sent about the inital vet consult, so he didn't know that he was sick. SO I TOTLLY RETRACT MY STATEMENT ABOUT YourPup.com Turns out he's A GOODtrying to help now that he's seen this post and now knows what going on. As for the underweight statement, he is underweight..probably from the giardia and coccidia (so sorry about the spelling). The vet assistant said that some horrible people....NOT yourpup.com....... keep dogs sick so they can be sold for more profit. More so puppy mills and that sort of thing, not breeders.

Ok guys, I TOTALLY RETRACT THE STATMENT about the bad breeder. Turns out that Yourpup.com breeders are good guys. He didn't get my email about the inital vet exam or he would have tried to help. Just a big misunderstanding. And even though Pookie is underweight, it's probably from the coccidia and giardia (sorry about the spelling) And he'll be back up before long. The vet assistant said that some puppy mills keep their pups underweight to sell them for more profit. Guess it isn't this guy since now that he knows the situation he's trying to help. So I would recommend this site (yourpup.com) to get your next yorkie from!!!!

OK, yourpup.com is a good breeder!!! He just called me back after finding out that Pookie was sick (he didn't get the email about pookies inital vet visit) and is now trying to help out! YEA! And the comment about the breeder keeping pups sick, well I'm sorry. The vet assistant said that some puppy mills do this so they can sell at a profit. Guess it isn't YOUR PUP. COM..... I'd recommend them for your next yorkie!

Awe thanks so much guys for being so supportive! The breeder called me last night (she is so sweet but her calling me vs the other way around terrified me I usually call her) but she was just calling to let me know that he gained half an ounce!! Hey we'll take what we can get...when he is under a lb a half ounce is big stuff...I was happy to hear that! I hope he gets well before Christmas..I miss my poor baby T.O. and feel so sorry for him...Thanks for the prayers, it looks like they are working...AMEN!!
