| Oh no!! New puppy in distress! I have been heavily monitorting the 4 new puppies (http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57825) making sure everyone was getting enough milk when this morning I checked on them, one of my tiny boys was cool to the touch and not moving very much. I picked him up and gently rubbed him and warmed him up and tried for 2 hours to get him to nurse or eat from a botle, or take it froma syringe. Well, I failed. His skin is wrinkling up b/c he is dehydrated and I called the vet. The lady working (who is a friend) told me to bring him in and she would give him some fluid and try to get him to eat as well. When I handed him to her she said he didnt look well. When he was born, he had a patch on his head where hair didnt grow in. Well, they felt it and said there was fluid under his skin there on his tiny little head. OMG I am so upset! I am never breeding again. I am so stresses out over this. Please keep 'Tiny Timmy' in your thoughts today and hope that he pulls through this.

| I'm glad he is doing better. What are they going to do about the fluid... will it go away? Also, I had a cat who became dehydrated and listless once because she became anemic... they did the same to her, fluid and electrolyte replacement... back to her old sneaky self within 24 hours!

| Wonderful news! Oh, there really is a LOT to breeding and raising puppies. Mine were born on 9-26 and I still jump and run to see who made some little noise I heard (regardless of the TV being too loud because my husband is hard of hearing) with my "puppy hearing" abilities. They are worth every second though...I truly enjoy it tremendously! |
