| Couple of spots on Lily! My hubby was loving on Lily a little bit ago and felt a soft round spot on her side . I got to checking her and felt another one the same side near her rear hip. They feel soft but almost like there is something in there, hard to explain. I had her spayed about two weeks ago and she had a rabies shot too. I wondered if it could be swollen glands?? She seems to feel fine. I am worried to death, any ideas what it could be?? If it is still there tomorrow I will go to the vet. Any advice??

I Love Thor Donating Member | Gosh, you got me stumped. Did you say there were two bumps on one side or the same bump on either side of her? Do they seem sensitive to the touch? |

| I have no idea what two lumps could be. I was gonna say one lump might be where she got her shot

| It could be possible that while giving the rabies vaccine the needle slipped out and was reinserted if they are fairly close together. A lump after a rabies shot is considered a reaction, but fairly common. Don't think they have any lymph glands in their hips. Let us know what the vet says. |

| I just got back from the vet, and I feel better. She took a sample of fluid from one of the spots and looked at it under the microscope. It was a clear fluid, she said she didn't see anything to warn cancer or anything. She wants me to watch it for a few weeks and she will call me to see if it has gone down or gone completely. She thinks it was a reaction to the shot in one spot and the other was from a shot they give before the spay(not sure what, I forgot to ask). I feel much better, I am so glad I took her. Plus they had to check her incision from the spay too, Lily pulled her stitches out the day after she was spayed(I had called and they said if not gapping open, ok) and everything there looked great. So hopefully the spots will disappear within the next few weeks.
