Teddy was playing with a little packet on the floor and I took it away from him but some of it had torn, and it had cockroach powder poision inside. I think some of it got in his mouth. It says 20% active ingredient on the back and 80% inert. I called the poison control number and they said they dilute the powder with water but to take him tot he vet incase. I washed his mouth with water and he drank water and ate some of his food. He is acting normal except he keeps making a gagging sound like if he is gonna throw up but he is very hyper. What do I do? Should I take him now even though he is acting normal?

Did you call your vet? I wouldn't fool around with poison...especially where he is making gagging sounds...

Yes I called my vet but they are closing cause they close early so I called an emergency vet number and they said to go in. They said they would just in case but if I see any signs of nausea, seizures, vomit, diarrhea or lethargy to take him in right away. Yea actually I am going to definetly take im in cause right now he is sleeping but he still is making little noises as if something is in his throat.

If the poison control said take him to the vet, you should do so right away.

This would make me very nervous. Poor Baby. How is he doing now?
