Glad to hear that Samson is on the road to recovery. Low blood sugar can happen very quickly due to stress, vomiting, diarrhea or going too long without eating and can be fatal. Nutristat can be purchased for under $10.00 at most pet stores, but Karo syrup or honey works well in an emergency. Once a thyroid problem is diagnosed it really isn't any big deal, but they do have to take a pill each day for the rest of their life.

Wish you would reconsider and stick around, there are over 9,000 members on here and you only heard from a few.

I want to thank everyone, and tell the " RUDE " people that sometimes a human life is as important as your family member pet.

If he is ever sick again, I just want you all to know that I will not be back, for I could not believe some of the statements.

God Bless you all, and hope you all have a great life.

Default Thankful

I am so glad to hear that Samson is on the mend. You are very fortunate to have such a dedicated vet. I am sorry if you were offended by comments made by some.

Don't judge the whole forum by the comments of a few. You also got good advice from some experienced pet owners. The advice to try a little Benadryl was apparently solid.

If that one piece of advice helped at all, it outweighs less helpful comments.

Best wishes for a full recovery for Samson and hope that your health also improves. God bless your family.

Hi Lisa and John,
Understanding the situation you were in the with your little Sampson, and then your health problem, I can feel the frustration for you of not being able to get to a vet in a hurry. I am sure you both were doing the one thing that was so important and that is praying all the while for little Sampson, and also to come to YT and ask others, while you were waiting for the phone call back from your vet. I am glad you did come here, and I am sure there was other YT'ers praying along with you for your little one. We found this site after we lost our precious yorkie Cassie, and there was a time with our new yorkie Baby Blessing that she got so sick one morning, I came on line to ask others to pray for her prior to rushing her to the vet, all the way there I honestly could feel those prayers on her behalf. I hope you will come back and continue to join in here with others. I am so happy to hear everything is going good now for Sampson, prayers for his Daddy and Mommy too, please do come back and join in with everyone here it really is a wonderful site.
Patti and Jack and Baby Blessing says me too.

Hi...I'm glad he's better - and after re-reading the responses you received - I sure didn't see anything rude. They all seemed helpful to me - Sorry you took them the way you did - but the people who posted to you did take the time to try to help and isn't that why you came on and asked ?

Ps - I would love to see your Sampson - When you called him a Teacup - I assume that means he's a little tiny guy ? If you need help posting a picture - I'll be happy to do it for you. Good luck to you with your health issues - My husband has severe health problems (terminal) - so I know firsthand how awful it is & the depression that goes with it. My girls seem to be the only reason he smiles lately.

Hi and welcome to YT.. I am glad to hear that Samson is doing better and that all is going to be well. I am sorry for not posting earlier but I had emergency situations with Gucci this past week. Gucci also was hypoglemcic when my son took her to vet. so I could imagine how you felt. I have to agree with the rest I read your posts and no one was rude at all. They were just being helpful. So reconsider and stay with this forum you will get lots of information and help, there are caring people on here...Good luck... Gina

John, so glad Samson is getting better. Please don't leave this site. It is the most informative and caring group of people I have ever come across. And funny, too. I know sometimes, especially in the emergency forum, I read the initial post and sorta skip over some without reading everything. I am sure, in some cases, when people truely want to help someone in need, they may skip over something just to get to where they can offer their knowledge or advice in a hurry. Everyone here loves animals, or they wouldn't be here. And there are so many different family situations that when help is offered, it may not work for everyone. But to leave this wealth of knowledge without giving us a chance would be a terrible shame. You would love it here. It is so addicting. I know everyone would love to see pictures and hear your stories of Samson as he grows. So, please stay and share the happy times, support the sad times and offer anything you care to, to this awsome group. God Bless,.....Sandy
