| Another Maggot story Parker had a bump on his back, upon inspection and some squeezing, and tweezing, A MAGGOOOOOOTTTTTTT Him and Cash play a lot, so maybe that caused an wound of some sort... but OMG I almost puked!!!! I had remembered Connie's post, and thought, Oh gosh I hope not.. sicknessssssss!!!!!! I just called the Vet's office, they said unless I had more problems no need to see them He said since I used hydro perox once I didn't need to do it again, just warm water and neosporin!!!! Luckily no other bumps, and Cash doesn't have any either.. I asked how in the world cuz my dogs are by no means neglected, he said coulda got bit by the wrong kinda bug or a sore and and fly came along and laid an egg... GRRRRRR.. puke puke !!! Soooo ya'll WATCH your babies in the humid heat!!! I think we're gonna get them a puppy cut so that their skin gets some air and doesn't get humid skin, and uh keep a fly swatter by!!!!

| I had never heard of this before that other post. It has to be a hard thing to get on here and tell about. Thanks for coming forward with the warning. |

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Oh wow - with that awful heat I can see how they could really hatch fast....What a good thing you found it before it got worse and we can thank Connie for alerting everyone to this possible problem - I bet lots of people would never know this can happen. SEE CONNIE !! You already helped a yorkie on here by your post Man - I have 3 bottles of Fly Spray outside on my patio and keep a fly swatter near my kitchen at all times - I can smack a fly barehanded and RARELY MISS I hate them so bad lol |

| I had the same thing happen to my Britney last summer. I took her to the vet about the little bump on her shoulder, he squeezed it out and out came the maggot! He gave her an antibiotic and it never bothered her after.

| I am so sorry this happened to Parker. Thanks so much for sharing. I want Mia's coat to grow long, and I comb her every morning, but now I will add a maggot inspection session to it. Especially now that it happened to two people's pups Maggots and cockroaches are two creatures I am phobic about.

| THANKS for posting this! WOW - I'm off to check all my dogs AND set the boys to swating the fly that got in the house earlier when I let the dogs out. A particular episode from Dr. Who when I was little left me with an abnormal fear of any grubby things - so much so that I can't even eat white rice! J |
