| They should not be allowed together unsupervised. The being stuck together is called a "tie", and it is part of the mating process. No offense, but it would be a good idea for you to educate yourself on the mating process before you become involved in the business. |

| It is called a "tie" and is perfectally natural, and they can stay this way for awhile. They should never be mated unsupervised, the female could drag the male around during a tie causing damage to both of them. They should be in seperate crates or closed rooms if you are not there.

| If you are this uneducated in the process of matting how are you going to be when your girl needs you for whelping???? Start reading and learn as much as you can, she will need your help. Maybe you can find a breeder in your area that can help you. I wish you and your girl all the best and a safe and happy delivery. Debbie Ray www.sumtoiyorkies.com |

| All the above is true. The male swells and it takes a good 20 minutes or so to be able to unlock. It has to be supervised with these small dogs. My male tends to go to sleep while still locked, but I have to hold the female still so as not to rupture the male or hurt either of them. |
